My name is Aureli Sinsuat. I was born in Quezon City, Philippines, but I spent my formative years in Seattle, a popular American city. After graduating from high school in Glendale, Arizona, I returned to the country of my birth for undergraduate studies. I am currently pursuing a BA in Political Science at the University of Philippines – Diliman.
Aside from politics, I also have a great interest in journalism. I wrote for my high school paper, and I have had work printed in the high school sports publication RISE Magazine, as well as the Manila Times and the Philippine Daily Inquirer. Also, I was fortunate enough to be named a 2008 Free Spirit Journalism Scholar by the Freedom Forum. (Free Spirits Forever!)
Over the past couple of years, I have discovered that I relish new experiences. It must be this spirit of adventure that prompted me to return to the Philippines. I have created this blog to share my experiences in the Philippines, to depict my impression of her - an estranged son reconciling with his motherland.
I can’t wait to see what is in store.
Sige na, thanks for reading.

Smiles, it is with pride and a mom’s unseen tears – held back to show strength and belief that everything will be okay despite being thousands of miles away. Letting go is faith in you and in the universe and its creator that you be under Her care. I’ll be here, reading and encouraging you to grow to your potential and relish in yor experiences of the happiness of life! Tita Gina
